Seeing Emily looking upset, Charlie thought it was still about her mom's illness and comforted her, "Your dad came today and told me about your mom's situation, don't worry, I gave him the money, and your mom will get better soon!"

Emily was stunned for a moment and asked blankly, "Who did you say came?"

Charlie replied, "Your dad! He said his name was Shawn."

Emily's face changed instantly, and she asked hoarsely, "He asked you for money? How much did you give him?"
