The hospital was swamped with media, each reporter jostling for a better view, their cameras and microphones at the ready.
A microphone was suddenly thrust in front of Susie. "Excuse me, Doctor, might we have a moment?"
Caught off guard but quickly composing herself, Susie flashed a professional smile. "Of course."
"Do you know Dr. Abbey?"
At the mention of Abbey, Susie's smile froze, a wave of regret washing over her. She wished she could go back in time and seize the opportunity she had so willingly passed to Abbey. Why should Abbey get all the attention?
"Look! There's Dr. Abbey!" someone shouted from the crowd.
The journalists, previously interested in Susie, scattered towards Abbey, leaving Susie to simmer in her frustration.
Emerging from a meeting room, Abbey was immediately surrounded by eager reporters.
"Dr. Abbey, congratulations on your involvement with the breakthrough YKA Solution for cancer treatment. Can you share your thoughts? Did you face any significant challenges? Will the YKA Solution be mass-produced?"
"Which university did you graduate from, Dr. Abbey?"
"How did you come across the cancer-fighting antibodies?"
Amid the flurry of questions, Abbey maintained her composure. "First, let me clarify something through your platform. I didn't discover the YKA Solution. Nor am I the first to cure cancer. I was just more fortunate to be part of the research team."
This revelation took the reporters by surprise, their curiosity piqued even further.
"If not you, then who is behind the YKA Solution? Are they also part of Crescent Moon Medical Center?"
