Heartstrings on Fire novel Chapter 1001

Agnes Pritchard was at a loss for words.

Had Ryder Whitfield really gone to the lengths of getting a commercial on the network, all because of her?

She wasn't sure what to make of it.

The station manager piled on the praises, but Agnes felt uneasy. The cutthroat world of broadcasting was beyond her control.

"Is there anything else, or can I get back to work?" Agnes asked, ready to leave if there was nothing more.

The station manager, all smiles, said, "Agnes, you've been working too hard, juggling too many tasks on your own. Your team is stretched thin. I'm thinking of hiring an assistant for you, to lighten your load."

Agnes was taken aback, but the truth was, her plate was overflowing with tasks, especially the tedious ones. Having an assistant like most of the senior correspondents did seem appealing.

"I appreciate that, thank you," Agnes responded without any hint of refusal.

The manager nodded, "Alright then, off you go. Oh, and drop by Mr. Judson's office later. He mentioned needing to see you this morning."

Agnes agreed and headed out, making a beeline for Judson's office upon leaving the manager's.

There was someone with Judson.

As Agnes knocked, noticing the ongoing conversation, she thought of leaving to avoid interrupting.

But Judson quickly gestured, "Come in, Agnes, you're just in time."
