Agnes glanced back at Jared, "Jared, this is my job. Can you please not interfere?"
Jared replied coldly, "Last time I checked, you were a journalist. When did you start moonlighting as an actress dealing with thugs?"
His gaze was fixed on Jarvis, who was driving them.
Jarvis, with a calm demeanor, countered, "Why would you say that, Mr. Whitfield?"
From the moment Jared barged into Lanny's private room, the plans had to be changed.
Jarvis had quickly gathered information on this intruder, but Jared knew very little about Jarvis's true identity or his relationship with Agnes.
Jared pressed, "Who exactly are you, and what are you doing? Why are you getting involved with these people?"
Jarvis decided to be somewhat upfront, "I can't disclose my full identity, but Ms. Pritchard and I are on a mission."
Agnes interjected, "Jared, stop asking. Even if you keep asking, I won't tell you. This is my personal affair."
Jared's face turned grim, and he didn't speak again.
Upon reaching the TV station, Jarvis dropped Agnes off.
Her car was parked underneath the station.
Jared also got out of Jarvis's car.
After exchanging a few words with Agnes, Jarvis left.
