Agnes couldn't help but find the whole situation rather amusing. What exactly was Jenny hoping to achieve with this "trip down memory lane" today?
"It's up to you whether you believe it or not, life is for living on your own terms, not for show. Given our history, I don't owe you any explanations."
Jenny, however, was all smiles, "Agnes, I'm not the same Jenny you knew back then. Competing with me now is pointless."
Agnes scoffed, "Jenny, I honestly don't get what you're trying to prove. Just because you have a taste for blue cheese doesn't mean everyone else can stomach that funk."
Agnes stood up, "Looks like this meal won't be going down well after all, Mrs. Wilson, I'll be leaving now."
As Agnes made to leave, she spotted a tall figure approaching from the far end of the restaurant. It was Elton.
Agnes turned to glance at Jenny and noticed her calm demeanor. It was clear to Agnes that Elton's appearance was no coincidence and had something to do with Jenny.
Sure enough, Elton walked over, standing beside Jenny, "Jenny, what are you trying to do?"
Jenny spoke up, "Elton, I've tried reaching out to you countless times, and you've avoided me every single time. Now, for her, you show up. You say your return has nothing to do with her, but that's hard for anyone to believe."
Elton glanced at Agnes, "I told you, I have nothing to do with you, and she's even less involved."
