Heartstrings on Fire novel Chapter 504

Albert suddenly turned serious, “I’ll take you to see your mom.”

Albert then carried Nocturne upstairs.

The others gathered around.

Naylor said curiously, “Nocturne’s back today, but Septima doesn’t seem that bothered. She was worried before, but since she came back last time, she’s been upset, yet strangely calm about Nocturne.”

Phenix raised an eyebrow, “When Septima came back that day, she seemed like she lost her spirit. It was like she had been through a bad breakup.”

Naylor dismissed this, “That’s outrageous. She doesn’t have a boyfriend. How could she have a breakup? Septima’s been busy working all these years, taking care of Nocturne, she doesn’t have time for anything else. Could it be that Dr. Ryder has a girlfriend now?”

In everyone's eyes, the man Septima spent most time with in recent years, other than Jared, Kearney, was Dr. Ryder, who had always been dedicated to Septima, doing everything he could for Nocturne's condition.

Everyone noticed that Dr. Ryder didn’t have a girlfriend for all these years.

And the way Dr. Ryder looked at Septima always suggested some repressed feelings.

Phenix had tried to figure it out several times.

But Agnes was always cold towards Dr. Ryder.

Kearney slowly said, “You guys seem to forget about the relationship between Septima and Dr. Ryder.”

Reminded of this, everyone suddenly understood.

Septima used to be a famous actress in her home country and her ex-husband was the notorious business tycoon, Jared.

And Dr. Ryder was Jared's nephew.

Of course, some people said that Dr. Ryder was his younger brother.

Septima had been through a lot in her short life of twenty-some years.

Phenix said to Kearney, “You hang out with Septima most of the time, you should go comfort her.”

Kearney nodded, “I will.”

Albert carried Nocturne upstairs and put him down at the door of Agnes's room.

“You go in. Your mom's not in a good mood. You should try to comfort her.”

Albert had a pretty good idea of why Agnes was in this state.
