His Ex-Wife Is A Billionaire? novel Chapter 177

In three days, Ada and her team were about to hit Elmsworth.

However, Jason got a disturbing piece of news from his agent today: Ada had decided to attend the welcome party hosted by the Abernathy Group at the last minute!

In the entertainment room of the K Orld Hotel.

When Jason fumed to Evadne about this, she was leisurely playing pool with Aaron.

They were taking turns, sinking balls into pockets like it was a competition.

"Ms. Evadne! We're screwed!" Jason blurted out in a rush.

"Shush, it's match point!"

Evadne lifted one slender finger to her lips, signaling him to keep his volume down.

This game determined the dinner for the night. It was a big deal, and there was no room for sloppiness!

But Jason was on the edge of his nerves, yet he didn't dare to rush her!

He couldn't interrupt Ms. Evadne's playtime!

With the last two balls, Evadne accurately shot and smoothly won the game, full of confidence.

"Yay!" Evadne made a victory sign, clearly delighted.

Aaron sat next to the pool table, smiling at his sister, not minding losing to her in the least.

"Evadne, your pool skills are getting better."

Evadne leaned elegantly against the cue stick, and playfully stuck out her tongue, "It's all thanks to your teaching."

She was wearing a red satin long dress today. Having just finished the game, the red strap on her shoulder silently slipped down, revealing a radiant, bare shoulder that was stunningly attractive.

Upon seeing this, Jason felt a rush of heat in his chest, and his Adam's apple bobbed.

Aaron noticed Jason's gaze, and his eyes suddenly turned cold.

He walked over to Evadne, casually fixing her slipping strap, and coughed lightly, "Even when having fun, you should be careful. It's fine when I'm here, but you can't be so careless when other men are around."

After saying this, he shot a deep glance at Jason.

He had been a policeman for many years, and his gaze was naturally sharp.

Under his gaze, Jason felt a chill run down his spine, as if all his thoughts were laid bare.

He quickly averted his gaze.

"I got it, Aaron. Jason is not an outsider, and I didn't expose anything, you're making a fuss over nothing." Evadne responded in a sweet voice.

Aaron raised an eyebrow, softened by her intimate way of calling him, and didn't have the heart to scold her any further.

"Jason, what's the matter?" Evadne turned her head to pick up a glass of red wine, leaning against the pool table as she savored it, her gaze full of laziness.

"Ms. Evadne, Ada has finally decided to attend the welcome party hosted by the Abernathy Group! She stood us up!" Jason said, dry-mouthed.

Evadne took a sip of her red wine, "Hmm, good."
