I Only Want You novel Chapter 59

At the Grand Dynasty Hotel.

Isaac Bai couldn't help but interrupt as he watched James Lu recklessly drink one glass after another, "Hey, hey, hey, dude, are you sure you can handle that?" Having already heard the entire story, Isaac snorted. "You should let your wife see you, maybe she'll be moved to tears and forgive you then."

James ignored him and continued to drink.

Benjamin Cheng held down his glass and said, "Stop drinking."

Not being able to drink, James turned to light a cigarette.

After taking two deep puffs, he looked at Benjamin and said, "That damn woman did it on purpose, didn't she? How am I supposed to react to that?"

Benjamin swirled the wine in his glass and said, "I'm sure she meant well, but you," he glanced at James and said. "You went a bit too far."

Isaac concurred, "Exactly! She's such a sweet and kind girl. Imagine how upset she is right now after you misunderstood her like that!"

"Don't I know that I went too far? Why would I be here otherwise?" James brushed his hair in frustration and gloomily looked at Benjamin. "Ben, what do you think I should do now?"

"What else can you do? Apologize!" Isaac thought that the question was ridiculous. "Do I look like someone who would apologize to another person?" Actually he thought of

apologizing, but that was so embarrassing!

"Okay, so what?" Isaac snorted. "Do you know how long a woman can hold a grudge for? If you won't apologize, prepare to be ignored forever!"

Benjamin nodded. "She helps you get a piece of property for free. Why can't you apologize in return?"

"Apologize? Can we drop this already? When have you guys ever seen me apologize since I was a kid?"

Isaac relented and suggested, "If you don't want to apologize, you can try giving her what she needs the most! For example, if she wants a band-name bag, you can buy her eight or ten of those ..."

Before Isaac could finish, James irritably interrupted him. "That won't work! She's not greedy." They hadn't known each other for long, but he was certain of this. "What she needs the most is her family's company and mansion."

James became more and more annoyed as he spoke. "But I don't have all the accounts and evidence ready yet! Give me another idea, Ben."

"You're asking Ben? You should be asking ME if you wanna know how to make a girl happy!" Isaac said smugly.

James looked at him with disdain. "You? A thirty-year-old virgin?"

Isaac felt like a thousand arrows were shot into his self-esteem. He exaggeratedly exclaimed, "What the f*ck do you know? I'm exercising self- discipline, okay?" Then he smiled sarcastically and rebutted, "Oh, did you think that you're so amazing and impressive just because you had that one crazy night with your little wife? Ha! Was there ever a second one?"

James immediately felt a little flustered, but couldn't bring himself to admit it. Although he married her for other reasons, they were legally husband and wife. It was pretty embarrassing to admit that they had never done that since getting married.

"It looks like I hit a sore spot!" Isaac was delighted. "I am remaining chaste under the principles of self-discipline. But what about you? Don't you think that it's a bit strange to stay celibate AFTER getting married?"

"You ..." James was pissed, but he couldn't retort at all because Isaac was completely right!

Frustrated, he stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray, picked up his glass and gulped it all down. Then he heavily slammed the glass on the table, stood up, and declared, "I can't be bothered to listen to any more of your sh*t!"

Seeing that James was about to leave, Isaac exclaimed dramatically, "You can come to your big bro for help any time your wife gets you down!"
