I Only Want You novel Chapter 85

"Elizabeth," When Margot Wang entered the private suite, she headed straight to Elizabeth Liang and sat down next to her. She glanced at the untouched glass of juice, then calmly picked it up and handed it to her. "Here's your juice."

Elizabeth felt a little overwhelmed by how thoughtful Margot was being.

Although she didn't really want to drink it, she was too gracious to turn down Margot's hospitality and took the glass, "Thank you."

"You're welcome."

Another person who was close to where they were noticed the situation and kicked up a fuss, "Why are you playing favorites, Margot? How come only Elizabeth gets a juice?"

"Yeah! You're so nice to Elizabeth, Margot."

Elizabeth awkwardly opened her mouth, but didn't know what to say.

Margot smiled playfully and said, "Of course I am, she's the prettiest girl in our department. Shoo, shoo, now go off and play somewhere else!"

The crowd was just teasing them, so they smiled and went back to playing their game.

"Elizabeth, I'll be honest, I've probably sounded pretty mean to you in the past. But after this summer, we won't have much time to spend together in class anymore." Margot gave her a regretful smile. "I hope you can forgive me for my carelessness in the past."

Elizabeth smiled softly and shook her head. "It's all in the past now." Life was too short to be spent in nursing animosity, especially now that Margot has taken the initiative to apologize, Elizabeth decided that letting bygones be bygones was the right thing to do.

"So we're agreeing to forgive and forget?"

"Er..."

Margot didn't wait for her answer. She raised the bottle in her hand and waved it at Elizabeth. "I suppose we'll have to down our drinks to seal the sincerity of my apology." With this, she winked at Elizabeth and clinked the glass in her hand with the bottle. "I'll go first!"

Elizabeth watched as Margot actually began gulping down the alcohol in the bottle, and widened her eyes in surprise.

After a short while, Margot flipped her bottle upside down to show that there wasn't a single drop left. "I'm finished, Elizabeth. Isn't it your turn now?" Then she added, "If you won't drink, I'll take it to mean that you're refusing to forgive me!"

"Urn..." Elizabeth worriedly looked at the juice glass in her hand.

The glass wasn't big, but she had only just finished eating dinner. She would probably feel quite nauseous if she downed the whole glass.

"Hurry up, Elizabeth!" Margot urged her.

Elizabeth gave her a strained smile and took a deep breath, as if she was making a huge and difficult decision. She raised the glass, leaned back her head, and began guzzling down the juice.

Gulp... Gulp...

Margot watched as Elizabeth continued gulping down the juice in the glass. Her eyes darkened, and the corners of her lips pulled into a malicious and almost imperceptible smile.

Elizabeth's stomach felt miserably heavy and bloated by the time she finished.

She tried to ignore her painful tummy and looked at Margot, who had went back to smiling innocently. Elizabeth forced a smile and said, "I finished it. Is this good enough?"

"Yes! Elizabeth," Margot excitedly took her hand. "Thank you!"

Margot was not in a hurry to leave after watching Elizabeth finish her juice. Instead, she began acting chummy with her and struck up a cordial conversation. "Elizabeth, are you... really close with James?"

Elizabeth did not expect Margot to ask about this so openly. Her expression did not change as she placed the glass on the table in front of her and thought about how to answer. She said, "Not really. We've only met a couple of times because of some stuff."

"Really?" Margot obviously wasn't convinced. "But there was that time when he looked for you in the cafeteria, and he blocked that soccer ball for you a few days ago, and he chose to take you to draw in another classroom... There's something more going on than a couple of encounters, right?"

Elizabeth furrowed her delicate eyebrows. "If you don't believe me, you can ask him."

Upon hearing Elizabeth's reply, Margot immediately smiled and said, "Hey, it was just a random question, of course I believe you! But, by the way," She looked at Elizabeth and asked, "Where have you been living since you left the school dorm?" She had to make sure for herself.

"Well," Elizabeth smiled a little, "That's my privacy, isn't it?"

"Yeah, I'm being too nosy. Haha!" Margot smiled brightly in return, but she was secretly fuming inside. She didn't think that Elizabeth would be so tight-lipped!

Thus, the two of them remained silent for a while.

Elizabeth looked at Evelyn Wu, who was singing and dancing a little bit away from her with a microphone in her hand. Elizabeth couldn't help but chuckle. That girl really was a party animal!

After sitting for a few more minutes, Elizabeth began feeling a little warm and thirsty. She looked up and around, but couldn't tell whether the central AC was broken or not.

"What's wrong, Elizabeth?" Margot, who had been paying close attention to Elizabeth's every move, asked with concern.

"Urn... can you turn down the temperature a little? I'm getting a little hot, maybe because of all the people in the room..." And she seemed to be getting hotter and hotter. "Really? I'll go turn it down then." Margot said, then got up and left.

A wicked smile appeared on her face as soon as she turned around. Hmph! Who told you to be so secretive? You're getting hot now? Don't worry, the best part's yet to come!

Margot randomly pressed a bunch of AC control buttons on the wall and then walked back. "How do you feel? Is it cooler now?"
