"Mr. Wilson, Mr. Ryan, we didn't grab a bite at the banquet. How about we go grab something now?" Cornelia suggested, leading the way with Leonardo and Ryan in tow.
As they walked, Cornelia had the nagging feeling that she was being watched. Following her instincts, she saw Natalia looking at her with longing, as if she had a lot to say but couldn't find the words.
Cornelia didn't dare approach Natalia. The Reese family were currently mad as a hornet at her. If she were to approach Natalia now, who knew what they might do to the poor girl after she left.
All she could do was pretend she hadn't seen Natalia and sent her a WhatsApp message, "I know you were forced into today's mess. I don't blame you. If you're up for it, I can still hook you up with a job."
That was all Cornelia could do for her.
Looking back, Leonardo commented, "The Reese's might not be rolling out the red carpet for us anymore."
Ryan scoffed, "You're thinking of coming back here?"
Leonardo sighed, "We grew up together, didn't we? Cameron was like a brother to me. I thought we were all straight up with each other, but I guess..."
Ryan cut him off, "You must be blind. I've never been straight with him, and Marc wouldn't either."
Leonardo retorted, "Don't rub it in. Any more and I'll start questioning my intelligence."
Cornelia reassured, "Mr. Wilson, your intelligence is not the problem. If you hadn't gotten your hands on the CCTV footage, I would've been in deep water."
Leonardo grumbled, "Don't remind me. I went to get the footage thinking my status would help, but they wouldn't even let me see it."
Cornelia queried, "So the footage came from President Hartley?"
Before he could answer, Cornelia had already guessed. Leonardo was clearly displeased, "Do you think Marc can do anything?"
