Granny Luisa nodded, "Yup!"
Cornelia didn't respond.
She had a hearty meal under the watchful eyes of the three elders, she was so stuffed that she was even struggling to walk.
After the meal, Granny felt fine and wanted to go home to rest. Cornelia consulted with the doctor, who told her that Marcus had previously informed him to abide by Granny Rebecca's wishes. If Granny Rebecca wanted to rest at home, then they would go home and the doctor would accompany them.
Despite feeling a tad embarrassed about inconveniencing others, Cornelia prioritized her grandmother's comfort. Nothing was more important than Granny Rebecca's well-being.
Once they arrived back at the Hartley's old mansion, Granny Rebecca felt a bit tired and dozed off shortly after lying down on her bed.
With nothing else to do after her granny fell asleep, Cornelia took out her phone and messaged Marcus: [What are you up to?]
Quite a while passed without a reply from Marcus.
After giving it some thought, Cornelia sent another message: [Granny and I are back at the Hartley Mansion. When are you coming home?]
A few seconds after she sent the message, Marcus finally replied: [Meet me outside.]
Cornelia asked: [Are you back?]
Marcus replied: [Yep.]
Cornelia quickly got up and dashed outside, phone in hand.
Patricia was in the process of handing her some fruit and nearly got knocked over, "Nelly, where are you rushing off to? I just cut some fruit, have some."
