Love Contract novel Chapter 330

Ever since Selah became Barry's woman, she lived a much happier life than she used to in the past.

She lived in a spacious and bright villa. Moreover, there were also drivers and servants on call. For the first time, she felt like she was living her dreams. With the help of the CEO, Barry, Selah's name and photos appeared on the newspaper every day. Even the film directors and scriptwriters took good care of her, which made Selah greatly relieved.

Even Ray's operation was supported by Barry. Every time Selah thought about this, her heart would feel warm. Because of this, an idea occurred to her. Why not live with him for the rest of her life?

For about three or four days, Alick and Elissa stayed in Barry's villa. They even slept with Barry and Selah on the same bed every night. Barry would tuck them in and Selah would read them stories. It felt like they were a real family. It was not until Mary had returned from her hometown to pick up the two children, and Selah had to shoot in another place, that the villa returned to peace.

However, the sudden quietness made Barry feel very uncomfortable, especially when there was no more story-telling after the kids had gone home. He always felt as if there was something incomplete before going to bed.

"This kind of anti-war drama series is different from the usual soap opera. It requires a lot of acting skills. If you perform well, it will be very helpful for your future career." In the living room, with his hand in his pocket, Barry suddenly turned to Selah, who was sitting opposite to him and said, "Work hard and show them your capability." "I got it. I will, Mr. Gu." Selah nodded while carrying her suitcase.

"Okay." Barry nodded as well. He did not know what else to say. The living room quieted down once again.

"Well," Selah swallowed hard and continued, "Mr. Gu, remember to eat on time. Don't starve yourself."

"A big star has become a housewife," Barry teased. With a smile, he added, "Fine. I'll eat. Don't worry about me."

'Tm leaving."

"Let me see you off," said Barry indifferently. He walked out first but before going out completely, he turned around and asked, "When will you come back?"

"After two weeks," Selah answered in a sad tone. She felt a little disappointed at the thought of not being able to see Barry for half a month.

"Okay then. I'll wait for you. The flowers on the balcony of the bedroom will wither."

'Wait for you... Wait for you...' His words echoed in Selah's mind.

All of a sudden, Selah became as shy as a little girl. Her mood lifted upon hearing what he had said.

Jaime had been waiting outside the villa for quite some time. When he saw Barry come out, followed by Selah, he pushed his glasses on the bridge of his nose and greeted them. "Hi, Mr. Gu. Selah, hello."

"Hi." Barry nodded slightly in response. "Have a good trip," he said to both Selah and Jaime.

"See you." Selah was reluctant to get in the van at first, but she had no choice. When she got on, she looked back at the tall and straight figure through the window and said to him in silence, 'Okay, wait for me.'

She was looking forward to the day of her return. Little did she know, by the time she came back, her world would turn upside down.

It was a cold night in early autumn. Despite Jaime's persuasion, Selah insisted on coming back on the day right after the shooting. It was because Barry had promised that he would wait for her to water the flowers before she left.

"Thank you for driving me back. Have a good rest. You've been with me all the time. Jaime, thank you for your hard work. See you next time." Selah got off the car and bade farewell to her agent.

“Okay. See you around as well." Jaime nodded. His eyes darkened as he watched Selah got off the car.

Carrying her small suitcase, Selah walked into the villa. Seeing that lights in the living room were on, she felt very happy.

Reaching closer to the living room, she slowed down on purpose and tiptoed to the door.

'Ha ha! Will Barry be surprised when he sees me later?'
