Marriage Games with a Charming CEO novel Chapter 40

Chapter 40 Explanations

Alicia thought it was Grace coming in to call her for dinner, she said hoarsely.

"I really don't want to eat anything. You can have dinner by yourself."

The person who came in didn't stop, instead, he walked over to the bed and sat down, leaning over.

The smell of tobacco laced with men's perfume wafted in.

Alicia immediately opened her eyes, and before she could get a look at the man's face, she was already being kissed.

She looked startled and reached up to push the man.

To her surprise, Edmond grabbed her wrists and clutched them tightly above her head, leaning down to bite her earlobe again.

"In that case, I'll start."

The low voice fell on her ear, and she ducked back as goosebumps rose all over her body.

"What are you doing here?"

Edmond didn't let her go. He stared into her eyes and said helplessly.

"Why did you block me? Because I didn't answer your phone?"

"I don't like you."

"You're very strange today."

"It's not like it's the first day you've known me, I've always behaved like this."

Alicia said and tried to break away from Edmond and leave. However, she failed and was completely unable to exert her strength in front of the robust man.

Seeing this, Edmond smiled, deliberately breaking her fists and clasping his fingers with hers.

She could feel the warmth from his hand and suddenly she felt like crying.

At this moment.

A low voice floated gently, accompanied by a smile.

"I see. You're angry I didn't make out with you in the lift today."

Alicia rolled her eyes in exasperation at his logic.

"Don't touch me. You are disgusting. There are plenty of women out there lining up, wanting to carry your child, I am not special."

Edmond's face eased a little when she was finally willing to talk to him.

He'd rather be scolded by her than getting a silent treatment.

"So what did Diane tell you?"

He took it step by step, letting Alicia tell him the cause of her emotions and anger.
