Chapter 42 One Last Time
It was Alicia who ended up dragging Edmond out of that extremely awkward situation.
Grace watched her best friend run away with shocked and innocent tears hanging from the corners of her eyes.
Turning her head to meet Eli's face, she's even more flustered now.
Eli didn't notice Grace's complicated gaze.
"I have something for you, come inside and talk."
After saying that, he bent down and took the initiative to pick up the takeout box and the chair and walked into the house.
Grace was speechless.
Why everyone looked more like the owner of this house than she did?
Eli had a great body. Alicia appreciated his broad-shouldered, narrow-waisted figure from the back.
There was also the faint scent of wood that always wafted from his body, and Grace quietly and greedily took a big breath before he could turn around.
The two sat down at the table.
"Let's talk about what's going on here."
Eli said, "Your father and my father have decided on a date for our wedding."
Grace was pouring him some water when she heard this. Her hand shook and spilled water all over the floor, and scrambled to grab a rag and crouch down to wipe the floor.
Eli followed suit, grabbing a paper towel to help.
Then Grace heard the man say indifferently.
"What do you think?"
Do not know whether it is Grace's illusion, but when she heard these words, she felt a sudden jerk in her abdominal position, and her face turned white.
The child ......
Should she tell him that they had a kid?
But he was gay, so what would be the point of telling? How bad would it be if they got married and later on, her kids knew their dad was gay...
Noticing Grace's darkened face, Eli pursed his mouth and then said.
"Since you're not happy about it, I'll go talk to the elders."
Grace nodded her head after a few seconds of entanglement and spoke hoarsely, "Okay."
"Then I'll leave first."
