Chapter 65 Absurd
There was a mess outside the emergency room.
After Diane made a scene, the atmosphere was getting more tense and anxious.
Kalinda pulled Diane aside, but no one could hear what she said; Peter went to call his friends at the hospital.
Alicia stood straight and didn't move. She tightly grasped her skirt and wouldn't let go.
Suddenly, she felt that she was unnecessary among all the people here.
She hated it here.
This place constantly reminded her that she was the only one without any close kin in the world.
Last time, when she was outside the operating room, waiting for Melissa's surgery to end, her mind was filled with fear that if she had lost Melissa, she was an orphan.

Lori showed up with red eyes. Clearly, she had been crying.
She had never met Diane before and didn't know that Kalinda and Peter were Edmond's parents.
Seeing that Lori was crying so hard, Alicia walked up to her.
She could vaguely feel that this woman was about to tell her something she wouldn't want to hear.
As expected, the next second, Lori knelt on the ground in front of Alicia, hugging her legs and crying loudly.
"Sorry, Ms. Casey. This is all my fault. If I hadn't asked Dr. Agos to accompany me to meet the patient's family, he wouldn't have been hurt by blocking the fruit knife for me... Please. Just hit me or scold me... I'm so sorry!"
At that moment, Alicia felt the blood all over her body clotted.
She lowered her head, looked impassively at Lori kneeling on the ground, and kept silent.
When Kalinda heard Lori's words, she helped Lori up, even though there were tears in her eyes.
"Miss, I'm Edmond's mother. Could you explain to me what happened? How's his injury? Is it serious?"
Edmond was their only child.
