Chapter 20 She Appreciates Cecelia 

Against the sunlight, the crowd came forward and could see glittering spots on the bottom of Peter's feet, the same bright light that the powder gave off. 

"It's the same!" 

The crowd confirmed that Peter had stolen the snake! 

Faced with the evidence and the presence of the police, Peter could not stand it. He fell to his knees and confessed, "I released the snake... Madam Nelson... I was wrong... Please forgive me!" 

Gabriella snapped, "Peter, when did the Nelson family ever mistreat you? Why did you do such a horrible thing? Why would you want to harm Remington?" 

"I..." 

Peter looked up with tears in his helpless eyes. 

Seeing everyone staring at him, Peter could only say, "Because Remington... He criticized me back then, so I held a grudge against him and did this stupid thing..." 

The Nelson family remembered this incident. A few months earlier, Remington had seen Peter trying to grope a maid. 

Remington would have thrown Peter out of the Nelson family if Gabriella and Carlos hadn't intervened. 

The Nelson family decided to give Peter a chance to make things right because he was a senior servant. However, no one expected Peter to try to get back at Remington instead of correcting himself. 

"Peter, I never thought you would hate Remington for such a trivial matter, and you even wanted to get back at him. You failed me!" 

Gabriella regretted having forgiven Peter and said, "Since you've made a mistake, you'll have to take responsibility for it. Officer, please take him away!" 

The police came forward and took Peter, who then cried out in pain. "Madam Nelson, I'm sorry. I have failed the Nelson family... I will take the consequences. Please pardon my family..." 

Peter almost yelled the last words and seemed afraid that no one would hear him. 

Peter was taken away by the police. With a deep sigh, Gabriella said, "Today, thanks to Cecelia's wisdom. If it weren't for her, the murderer might still be at large. Cecelia has done us a huge favor! We should all be grateful to her!" 

The more Gabriella looked at Cecelia, the more she appreciated Cecelia. 

Everyone looked at Cecelia and was impressed by her. 

"Just doing my job," Cecelia said calmly. 

Doing her job? 

She seemed to have seen herself as a part of the family already! 

Renee and Ronald became wary of Cecelia. If Remington were to marry any ordinary woman, they wouldn't give a damn about it. However, Remington was marrying Cecelia, who seemed really smart and scheming. With her around, it would be harder for them to take action against Remington! 

Later, Gabriella told the others to leave. Then, Cecelia went back to the Aroma Villa with Cynthia. 

Andres was sitting at the door waiting for Cecelia. The moment he saw Cecelia come back, he ran towards her quickly and wrapped his arms around her legs. 

Cecelia then picked her son up and pinched his nose as she said, "Andres, are you hungry?" 

Andres shook his head. Then, he wrapped his little arms around her neck and stared at her. 

Cynthia's jaw dropped when she saw how close Andres was to Cecelia. "No way! Am I hallucinating? What the hell is wrong with Andres? He's actually asking for a hug from you?" 

Cynthia and Andres went along well, but Andres didn't like having physical contact with her, let alone asking her for a hug! 

Cynthia wondered what magic Cecelia had used to not only charm Remington but also to win Andres' heart. 

"Andres is a little kid. Isn't it normal for him to want to be hugged?" Cecelia laughed. 

"It's not normal. Absolutely not!" 

Cynthia tentatively held out her hand and said, "Andres, come! Come! Come on! Can you give Aunt Cynthia a hug?"
