"I know, Ms. Long, that you and Heather Done are friends, otherwise, you wouldn't invest in the Linsey Group. So, I'm here today not to ask you to feel for me and join my side, but to make a deal with you!" 

Cecelia's tone was calm and composed, with a hint of confidence. 

Karen Long stared at her for a few seconds and chuckled, "Hah, Miss Linsey, the Nelsons might have paid you a lot for the settlement of the divorce, but I don't accept bribes!" 

Karen thought money or valuable items are Cecelia’s leverage to win her benefits. 

Many might assume that after Cecelia divorced Remington Nelson, she would receive a fat settlement check. 

Cecelia explained nothing and slowly shook her head, "I don’t take money or treasures as my bargaining chips." 

"Oh? I'm curious about what you can offer me then." 

"It is something you won't turn down, Ms. Long."

A sudden serious look appeared on Karen's look, and she became more alert. 

"Relax. What I mean, Ms. Long, is your most cherished things: your marriage and family." 

Cecelia revealed her trump card; she had already done some digging on Karen Long's personality and knew well about the woman she was dealing with. 

She was an ambitious, shrewd, and capable woman, with an iron fist in her career, but her family and marriage were bumping along a rough trail. 

If Cecelia wanted to win over Karen, she had to focus on what the woman cared about the most. 

Karen Long was puzzled by her words and couldn't understand her intentions. 

"I don't understand! What was that supposed to mean? Stay out of my family and marriage! My husband loves me deeply, and that, Miss Linsey, is none of your business!"

Hearing her words, Karen Long, as her face was turning blue,  pounded the table. "What nonsense are you talking about? No one gets to accuse my husband of that but me! You think you know it all? My husband loves me very much, and our marriage is strong! Stop talking out of your *ss!" 

Facing Karen Long's anger, Cecelia also pounded and stood up. 

Cecelia overmatched Karen's vibe and dominated the room. 

"Although you have a successful career, a seemingly loving marriage with two children, and a life that others envy, only you know your husband is having an affair! Don't you know any of that, Ms. Long?" 

Cecelia slammed a photo of her husband being intimate with another woman onto the desk before her. 

Karen Long slumped back into her seat, for Cecelia and her words exposed her inner wounds and anguish. 

Unable to contain her emotions any longer, she became agitated. Her anger was merely a way to hide her inner turmoil and pride! 

"You may have achieved great success in your career, with your chain of KLCS nationwide, KLFO being a famous domestic feminist organization, and Stardream even growing into a listed corporation, but your family is drifting away from you further and further. All the while, you know little about where and with whom your husband spends every night. Is any of that part of successful women?" 

"Enough! Please get outta here!"
