Chapter 217 Sharing A Suite
Cecelia decided not to return to the Bluebell Mansion and instead contacted Everest Theodore and Jayden Bowman through the phone to explain the situation and asked them to take care of the children.
When she informed Jayden that she and Remington were going to Bemanko overnight, he expressed some concern, "Cece, do you want me to accompany you?"
"No need! I'll be back as soon as things are settled! Please take care of the kids for me!"
Around 8 o'clock in the evening, Cecelia and Remington met up. Remington had arranged for a private helicopter, and they flew overnight to Phoenix City in Bemanko.
They arrived in Bemanko close to midnight, and it was quite late, so Remington booked them a hotel to rest for the night.
Cecelia asked, "You booked only one suite?"
"That's right. I was in a hurry, and it's peak tourist season in this city, so it was difficult to book more."
Remington put down his luggage, which contained things he had prepared for her.
Seeing the way Remington had "already directed everything," Cecelia became a bit angry, "Did we really need to come here? Is this all just a trick? You didn't want me to go back and meet Jayden, so you came up with this excuse and tricked me into flying here, didn't you?"
"You're 50% right."
Remington glanced at her, his eyes seemed to say, "Cece, you're so smart, I can't hide anything from you."
He did arrange this trip because he believed finding her brother might not be as smooth as they expected, and also, he didn't want her to go back and be with Jayden Bowman.
He hoped that by the time they returned, Jayden Bowman would already be gone!
Remington held Cecelia's shoulder and said, "It's true, I don't want you to be with him! Moreover, I think it's better for you to see your brother in person."
"Tell me the truth, how is my brother doing?"
Cecelia's eyes turned red, feeling sad.
They had already arrived in Phoenix City, and this was where her brother had lived!
She hoped she could find Kevin soon!
"His situation might not be as smooth as we hoped. Let's rest for now! We'll talk more tomorrow!"
Remington didn't want to tell her the truth, fearing that she would be upset and lose sleep at night.
Cecelia thought that her brother's foster parents might be the hard nuts, and they wouldn't easily let them take Kevin away.
They could only meet them in person on the morrow and see how it goes!
The two ended up sharing a suite, all according to Remington's careful arrangement. Cecelia set the most basic boundary with him.
"I'll sleep on the bed tonight, and you on the floor!"
"Alright! I'll go take a shower. Do you want to join me?"
"You shameless!"
An impulse to kick him came to Cecelia.
Remington smirked and went into the bathroom.
After he had showered and came out, he had only a bath towel wrapped around his waist.
While removing her makeup, she caught a glimpse of him and suggested, "There's a bathrobe in the wardrobe, please put it on!"
"A handsome man after a shower... Don't you want to have a look? It's free of charge, don't you miss the chance! No need to be shy!"
"What a perv!"
Cecelia was annoyed and somewhat amused, wondering why this guy couldn't be more serious.
Remington grinned, fetched a bathrobe from the wardrobe in slow motions, and put it on in front of her, then stripped off the towel underneath it.
Cecelia turned her eyes away and shrugged her shoulders. Why did he have to show off like that in front of her?
After removing her makeup, Cecelia was ready to take a shower. Remington reached out and pinned her against the wardrobe.
Staring at her face without makeup, Cecelia was exasperated, "What are you staring at?"
"Other women look rough without makeup, but you, on the contrary, look even more fabulous. How come my Cece can be such a beautiful angel?"
