Married by Accident, Taming the Billionaire novel Chapter 267

Chapter 267 Risking His Life to Save Her

The emergency doctors rushed to Cynthia again. Shepard's eyes were red, filled with indescribable excitement as he fixed his eyes on the line that returned to an irregular pattern.

However, due to excessive blood loss, Shepard felt dizzy and had to sit down on a nearby chair to rest.

Leaning against the wall, he closed his teary eyes, feeling grateful.

They had finally recused Cynthia.

She survived. It was really good news.

After some measures, Cynthia's vital signs finally stabilized.

"Finally, she got saved."

Noticing her steady heartbeat, everyone sighed in relief.

Shepard, of course, was the most relieved one. Cynthia had come back to life, and this news was undoubtedly a boost for him.

He felt like he had come back to life, too.

"Dr. Nuno, you don't look well. Go back and rest! We'll take care of things here."

Shepard nodded and left the emergency room.

The people waiting outside all rushed up when they saw the door of the emergency room open, and Shepard appear.

"Shepard, are you alright? How is Cynthia?"

Ariella was scared by her brother's pale complexion. He looked so pale, as if he had lost his beloved woman, which was really scary.

"Shepard, how is Cynthia?"

"Dr. Nuno, how is my daughter?"

Everyone anxiously asked, and Shepard forced a smile. "She's fine. Don't worry. My colleagues are handling the follow-up."

Upon hearing this, everyone felt relieved. Aurora held Cecelia's hand excitedly. "Cynthia is fine. She survived. God! I was scared out of my wits."

Remington also expressed his gratitude. "Dr. Nuno, thank you for saving my sister."

"Don't mention it. It's my duty." Shepard staggered.

Ariella supported him. "Shepard, let me take you to rest for a bit!"

Everyone assumed that Shepard must be exhausted from participating in the emergency. Ariella helped Shepard leave, and Cecelia also reminded him to rest well.

After waiting for a while, the two emergency doctors came out first.

They took off their masks and said, "The patient's condition has stabilized. You can rest assured. The nurses are handling the follow-up, and the patient will be transferred to the ICU later."

"Okay, thank you, doctors! Thank you so much!"

Aurora and Remington expressed their gratitude.

The doctors waved their hands. "Don't mention it! The one who deserves the most thanks is Dr. Nuno. Thanks to him donating 800CC of plasma to the patient in a timely manner and participating in the emergency, we were able to bring the patient back to life from the brink of death."

After the emergency doctors left, everyone finally understood why Shepard's face had been so pale earlier. It turned out that he had given Cynthia 800CC of blood.

"No wonder Shepard looked so unwell earlier. 800CC of blood? He risked his life to save Cynthia."

Cecelia could tell from this incident that Shepard actually cared a lot about Cynthia. He had risked everything to save her. This must be love.

"Oh, thanks to Dr. Nuno's help! Otherwise, my daughter...."

Aurora couldn't describe how grateful she felt in her heart. Thank God her daughter had met such a good man like Shepard, who saved her life at a critical moment.

After they waited for a while, the nurses wheeled Cynthia, who had been properly treated, out of the emergency room and transferred her to the ICU.

Cecelia and the others followed along.

Cynthia was sent to another ward in the ICU, not far from Verda's ward.

After visiting Cynthia, the crowd went to see Verda.

"Cecelia's brother hasn't woken up yet."

Aurora visited Verda and comforted Cecelia, "Cecelia, your brother will be fine. Don't worry!"

"Okay." Cecelia turned to look at Verda in the ward, hoping that both he and Cynthia would wake up soon.

Because Cynthia and Verda were hospitalized, the Nelsons and Cecelia took turns staying at the hospital.

Samson stayed with Aurora in the ICU while Cecelia and Remington went to Shepard's office.
