A voice echoed out from behind her, “Turn around, Scarlett.”
Trembling with fear, she slowly turned, only to be confronted with a sight that she never could have imagined.
“Scarlett,” the voice said in a stern tone, causing Scarlett to turn around quickly.
To her surprise, she saw Alpha Bert and Alpha Asher standing there, staring at her with cold eyes.
“We thought we'd lost you,” Alpha Asher said, stepping closer to her.
Scarlett tried to back away, but Alpha Bert blocked her path. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest as she realized that her plan had failed.
“What are you doing here? Why are you following me?” Scarlett asked nervously.
“Why are you trying to escape from the pack?,” Alpha Bert said, taking her hand.
"We are your mates for goodness sake Scarlett," Alpha Asher added, placing his hand on her waist.
Scarlett felt sick to her stomach. She knew that she couldn't spend the rest of her life with these cruel, heartless men. She had to escape.
“I don't love you. I don't want to be with you,“ Scarlett said, trying to sound firm.
But the twin Alphas didn't seem to be fazed by her rejection. They simply smiled at her and took her with them, exiting the pack and heading back to their own pack. As they walked, Scarlett could feel the eyes of the other pack members on her, watching as she went willingly with her mates.
Once they got to the pack house, the twin Alphas took her back to their room. They both crawled into bed with her, wrapping their arms around her tightly. Scarlett felt trapped, suffocated by their embrace.
“Why did you run away?”Alpha Bert asked, looking deep into her eyes.
“Because...because I don't want to be your mate,” Scarlett said, her voice barely above a whisper.
“But we love you,“ Alpha Asher said, leaning in to kiss her neck.
Scarlett closed her eyes, her body tingling with desire. She hated herself for feeling this way, but she couldn't help it. The twin Alphas were both so handsome, and their touch sent shivers down her spine.
“I just need some time,“ Scarlett said softly, trying to push them away.
But the twin Alphas were too strong. They held her close, refusing to let her go. Scarlett felt helpless, trapped in a world that she didn't want to be in.
Now, it seemed she was confined to the twins. Scarlett wondered if she would ever be free from their grip, or if she was doomed to spend the rest of her life as their mate. It was a bleak thought, and Scarlett felt tears start to form in her eyes. She closed them tightly, trying to block out the pain and the sadness.
