Jack frowned. He had grown a little impatient, but he still let Tracy finish her words. He then said, "Mom, don't think about it anymore. For me, there is only one person in the world who suits me the most, and that is Rachel."
"Son, why don't you listen to me? I'm telling you, if you send Scarlett away and insist on being with Rachel, then you can forget that I am your mother." Tracy glared at him and turned around. With a sullen pout, she crossed her arms on her chest.
She knew that Jack had always been a filial son. If she pretended to disown him, he would have no choice but to give in.
But she forgot that Jack's so-called "submission" always came with a defined purpose.
"Mom, if you really can't accept Rachel and won't treat her well in the future, I'm afraid that this will be the last time I'll come here and call you my mother."
"What?" Tracy turned to look at Jack in disbelief. Fear surged up in her heart as she met his deep-set black eyes. Hoping that she just misheard him, she asked again, "Jack, what did you say just now?" Jack gently patted her shoulder. This time, his voice calmed down. "Mom, I love Rachel. She's the only one I want to be my wife. If you want me to be alone for the rest of my life, it's up to you. You can do whatever you want."
His message was clear. He wouldn't want any other woman except Rachel.
Seeing his firm attitude, Tracy was silent for a moment. After a while, she sighed slightly.
She must admit, she didn't like Rachel. But for the sake of Jack, she could give it a try. After all, Rachel also grew up with them. Obviously, Tracy failed in threatening Jack. In the end, she was the one who needed to give in.
As a mother, she couldn't abandon her son no matter what. She could never watch him live alone all his life.
Thus, she had no choice but to compromise. "Then tell me, why do you have to send Scarlett away? Don't you think it's too much? Since you have completely ended your relationship with her, the most you can do is stop seeing her or communicating with her."
A trace of fury flashed across Jack's eyes upon hearing Tracy's words. "Scarlett is too whimsical. If only she can live her life in peace, I will definitely not force her to leave. But she tried to hurt Rachel and our child. If I hadn't arrived on time yesterday..."
He choked in the middle of his words. It seemed difficult for him to recall what happened the other day. "Mom, let's not talk about it anymore.

"What did you just say?" Jonathan's angry voice resounded the whole living room. He had just come downstairs, but he heard everything that Jack said. Thumping his walking stick heavily on the floor, he said, "What happened yesterday? Tell me exactly."
Rachel was shocked to see the driver of the Fu family arrived at their house with a lot of shopping bags in his hands. She quickly stopped him and asked, "Where did these things come from?"
"Mr. Jonathan Fu bought them." The driver put down the shopping bags and turned around to go out. When he came back, his hands were full again.
As Rachel counted, the driver went to and fro four times. She wanted to ask him if there were still more outside. But the driver clapped his hands and breathed a sigh of relief. "Miss Shen, I've already brought everything inside. I need to go back now to pick up Mr. Fu. He is waiting for me in the food market."
"Dad is in the food market?"
Rachel couldn't believe her ears. As far as she could remember, Jonathan never went to this place. She couldn't help asking with a frown, "Why is he there?" Julie came out of the kitchen with a glass of water in her hand. She handed it to the driver. Perhaps the driver was really thirsty that he drank it up in one gulp. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and replied, "He said that fish in the food market are fresh. He wants to buy some to make soup for you."
He then returned the empty glass to Julie and left in a hurry.
Rachel stood with hands on her waist, watching the driver disappear. She then walked to the pile of shopping bags and checked them. There was milk, protein powder, and other nutritious food. After checking each bag, she thought that Jonathan might have bought all the available food for pregnant women in the supermarket.
Julie also came over and looked at them. With eyes wide open, she asked, "Miss Shen, what should we do with all these things?"
"Put them all in the study." The corners of Rachel's mouth twitched helplessly. She was confused.
It had been a while since Jonathan found out that she was pregnant, but he had never done something like this before. He would only call from time to time to ask about her condition.
But today, he bought so many things. He even went to the food market to personally buy fish for her. 'Did he find out what happened yesterday?' she couldn't help thinking inwardly. When Julie went back downstairs, Rachel asked, "Where is Jack?"
"I don't know, Miss Shen. Mr. Fu went out earlier, and he hasn't come back yet." Julie then picked up a few bags and went upstairs again.
In the food market, Jonathan wasn't done looking for a fish yet. He pointed at the fish in the tank and asked in a loud voice, "Is that fish fresh?"
