Chapter 42 My Heart Was in Pain.
Ashlynn faltered, "It seems serious."
Kendrick was unsatisfied with her answer.
"Mrs. Ramsey hasn't eaten all day." Ashlynn said carefully, "Would you like to come back?"
Kendrick was speechless.
What was wrong with these people now?
He pressed his brow and said, "There is no such medicine as you said. Go to consult Dr. House."
"All right."
"Send me the list of medicines she wants you to buy."
Kendrick added.
After receiving the list, he passed it on to a research and development specialist in the pharmaceutical industry.
The specialist replied: [From the name it should be the upgraded version of Compound paracetamol and Amantadine Hydrochloride Tablets. Currently it's not on the market. But I know there are biological companies are developing it, and it is expected to be approved after two years to go on the market.]
Kendrick put his finger to his lips.
After a moment he tapped on the table.
How did she know about a drug that won't be on the market for years?
Natalie's smiling face sprang to mind.
But it was like a mist through them.
It was hard to see clearly.
But it made him really want to disperse the mist.
He lifted his face slightly and exhaled, then read the plan he had just received from the strategy department.
Soon, Kendrick made a internal call and let Nigel in. He threw the plan to him and said, "Why don't you ask Mr. Decker if this plan was written by his seven-year-old son? Why did he present such a terrible plan?"
Nigel responded, "I'll get your message right away."
When he went out, he immediately sent a message to a chat group of his own friends.
[Mr. Ramsey is in a bad mood today. Orange alert!]
Many "Got it" were immediately displayed on the screen.
Nadia typed. [Mr. Ramsey was absent-minded during the morning meeting yesterday. I seriously suspect it was an internal family conflict.]
Nigel was also puzzled. There had been family conflicts before.
But Mr. Ramsey never brought his emotions to work.
In fact, Mr. Decker's scheme was just ordinary without any problem.
Maybe this plan was not good, but it was not that terrible like writing by his son.
But Mr. Ramsey was unsatisfied.
He even disliked it.
It was 2 p.m. when Ashlynn got back from the medicine. She hurried upstairs and knocked on the door of the master bedroom.
"Mrs. Ramsey, I'm sorry. I had to go to several drugstores to get the medicines you asked, but I failed. So I asked Dr. House for some other cold medicine."
Natalie was lying in bed in a daze. She was awaken by Ashlynn's words.
She forgot that the medicines she listed were the latest cold cures developed in her own world.
The world probably hadn't worked out yet, or was working on it but hadn't approved it.
"It's all right." Natalie smiled and took the pill box. "This also works."
She was careless.
She forgot these things.
"Are you hungry? Is there anything you want to eat?"
After took the medicine, Natalie touched her stomach and said, "I want bibimbap and clam chowder."
"Well, I'll make it for you. Please take a rest."
Natalie lay on the bed and picked up the pill box.
It was a primary version of the specific medicine.
She pressed her lips together and thought she must be more careful.
The drug made her drowsy. She lay back and heard a noise of the car downstairs.
The door was opened after a unknown time.
The sound of the wheelchair came closer.
Natalie secretly opened a crack in her eye and looked. When he came she closed her eyes.
"Have you taken your medicine?"
Kendrick's voice was cool.
She didn't answer.
So she didn't want to talk to him?
Kendrick raised his hand and tried to brush the hair out of her ear.
When his fingers just touched the underside of her earlobe, she giggled, said, "Stop tickling!"
Now Ashlynn had made her meal and placed it on the coffee table.
