When Helena left, she saw that Jeremy had already changed into a suit, but they wouldn't be sharing a ride.
She would drive herself. Victor was already waiting for Jeremy.
Not long after, at a red light at an intersection, the two cars were side by side. Helena couldn't help but glance over at Jeremy.
He didn't look at her and seemed focused on his phone while Victor nodded at her in greeting. She gave a faint smile, but a bittersweet feeling lingered in her heart.
…
At the airport, Skylar arrived after about 40 minutes. It was the morning rush hour, crowded with people and vehicles. The airport was bustling.
Upon entering the airport terminal, she began searching for Joe and Rosa.
Although the crowd was thick, Joe was the kind of person who stood out no matter where he was. He was tall and easy to spot, and as long as she paid attention, she could find him in the airport.
At that moment, Aiken called her. She answered the phone while continuing her search. "Have you seen Ned?" he asked.
Skylar replied honestly, "He's returning to Murida with Rosa today. I came to the airport to find him, but it's too big here, and there are too many people. I still haven't found him."
Aiken reassured her. "Is he leaving in such a hurry? Take your time; don't rush. Since you already know that Ned is Joe, it doesn't matter if he leaves Jipsburg. I've also found out his address in Murida, so don't worry."
Hearing Aiken's words brought her some relief. "Okay, I understand."
The airport in Jispburg was one of the largest in the nation, with a high volume of travelers. Even though Joe was quite noticeable, the large crowd meant that many tall men looked similar. After searching for 20 minutes, she still couldn't find him.
Skylar felt a bit flustered. After calling Ned several times, he finally answered the phone.
