"Mom, did anyone tell you they are coming over?" Skylar asked, puzzled.
Janine shook her head, equally confused. "No, I don't know many people in Jipsburg. If any company employees had issues, they wouldn't come to the house; they would call me directly. If it were your brothers, they would have told me in advance."
Skylar had already walked to the door. But after hearing what Janine said, she didn't open it right away but looked through the peephole.
It was only her and Janine in the house right now, so it was necessary to be cautious.
The person standing outside was wearing a baseball cap. The cap was pulled low over their face, making it hard to see their face. b=But based on their build, it seemed to be a woman.
"Who is it?" Skylar asked.
The woman outside said, "I'm your downstairs neighbor. I have something to discuss with you. You're too loud. Do you have kids at home?"
Skylar raised an eyebrow. The downstairs neighbor?
She turned back to Janine and asked, "Mom, has the downstairs neighbor ever come to you before?"
"No, I don't even know what the downstairs neighbor looks like. And they're complaining about noise? Everyone in the residents' group chat is usually very considerate. Besides, we're just having dinner and chatting. How could we be noisy?" Janine asked, puzzled.
The building was well-constructed, with good soundproofing.
Skylar nodded. "Looks like it's probably a misunderstanding."
Then, she opened the door and said to the supposed neighbor, "Hello, we have no children here, and we haven't done anything to cause loud noises. You might want to check with someone else."
