However, Rosa felt even more helpless.
"I… I… It's not like that. When we were in Jispburg recently, I realized you might be Joe. That's why I panicked and wanted to leave Jipsburg.
"The reason I was so anxious is that I've fallen in love with you over these three years. I love you, not Ned. Every moment we spent together during these three years is etched in my mind."
"The money will be in your account in a few days. Don't come back to this place again. Leave Jipsburg as soon as possible," Joe said expressionlessly before heading back to the villa.
Rosa stood there as if struck by lightning.
After a long while, she snapped back to reality when the security guard came to urge her to leave.
Frustrated, she looked at the brightly lit villa.
"Miss, the owner has made it clear that you are not their guest. Please leave at once," the security guard said, his tone becoming increasingly impatient.
Rosa could only walk away with heavy steps.
In the cab back to the hospital, the driver noticed Rosa's dazed expression and kindly reminded her, "If you're feeling wronged or in trouble, you can always call the police."
At this, Rosa sneered. "Report it? Can the police give me my boyfriend back?"
Upon hearing this, the driver realized it was a matter of the heart and chose not to pry further.
Rosa stared out the window, filled with resentment. She wouldn't go back to Murida.
Now, with all sorts of negative rumors swirling about her there, returning would mean facing ridicule every day. She decided to stay here. She refused to believe Joe didn't have any feelings for her.
