Jenny felt a little diffident. However, she straightened up and glared back at Skylar. Why did she need to be diffident? She hadn't done anything immoral.
Skylar should've been the one feeling diffident. She wouldn't need to fear being photographed if she was nothing more than friends with Aiken.
Skylar looked away after one glance at her. She probably didn't realize that Jenny had taken her picture. Jenny exhaled in relief.
Ten minutes hadn't even passed when Calum came back. He placed the chicken noodle soup before Jenny and advised, "Eat it while it's still hot."
"Thanks," Jenny replied. She beamed sweetly.
Calum seemed to be stunned by her beauty. Everyone else around the table grinned.
Half an hour later, Skylar walked into the washroom.
Jenny had been washing her hands. When she saw Skylar, she panicked. Then, she said, "Skylar, what a coincidence! We even ran into each other at this fondue restaurant. I wanted to say hi to you just now. But you were with your friends, so I didn't want to disturb you."
Skylar was expressionless. She extended a hand to Jenny,
Surprised, Jenny asked, "What does this mean, Skylar?"
"How many pictures did you take of me?" Skylar had noticed Jenny sneaking glances at her and taking her picture. Today was Simona's birthday. She didn't want to confront Jenny in front of them.
Jenny widened her eyes. She said, "I have no idea what you're talking about. What photographs are you referring to?"
Skylar knew Jenny wouldn't own up to it. Jenny's behavior had been spiraling out of Skylar's expectations.
Jenny left a good impression on Skylar the first time they met. She looked like a sweet girl.
