This wasn't an easily handled matter, which was why she needed to be meticulous and slowly carried out her plan.
However, she was still more than confident of her success. After all, she was able to frame Yesseca, forcefully break their relationship and chase her out of Nashaland. That being said and done, what was killing off one Yuliana!
Qiana's eyes flickered at the thought, a poisonous flame within that licked its depths like a tongue of a snake.
Yuliana, this idiot. She could have lived well and been the first young Madam in the Quartley Palace. However, she insisted on courting death and dared to plot against her, Qiana!
Hehe!
What a joke!
Did she think that Qiana was so easily bullied?
The more aggrieved she was, the more miserably Yuliana would die in the future!
Qiana returned to her bedroom when she suddenly thought of something.
She quickly went to make a cup of hot coffee, then headed for the study.
The number of times that Tremaine returned to the Quartley Palace could be counted on one hand. It was precisely because of this reason that she had to put on a good performance.
There was a knock on the door.
Her voice came gently behind it.
Every note of it was soft and light, its sound hit the door like raindrops that fell onto the river.
After a while, Tremaine's voice came through, "Come in."
Qiana proceeded to walk in with the coffee.
She was wearing pajamas but it wasn't revealing. On the contrary, it strictly covered every part of her body that not even her arms could be seen.
Qiana knew very well that Tremaine had seen women in all shapes and forms. How could he be easily seduced by beauty?
Therefore, she would not use seduction to entice him.
If she did this, she would gain nothing and let Tremaine be vigilant against her.
"Mr. Tremaine, I'd guessed that you were working in the study. I thought that you'll work until late, hence I brought you a cup of coffee. Hopefully, it could alleviate your stress." With that said, Qiana put the coffee on the desk.
Tremaine laid his arm around his documents spread across his desk, but Qiana seemed to pay careful attention when she put down the cup. Her hand did not make contact with his arm at all.
Tremaine gave a faint hum.
Qiana then said, "Montez had fallen asleep. I have spoken with his teacher recently. The teacher said that he has performed well in all aspects, so please rest assured."
"Mm." Tremaine, as usual, didn't say much.
"On another note," Her voice became softer and gentler. "Mr. Tremaine, you are the leader of Nashaland. You are the backbone as well as someone we count on, hence I wanted to make a small request. That is, I hope that you can take good care of yourself. Although work is important, you should not overwork yourself too late, best that you get an early rest."
"Understood." Tremaine finally uttered more than a single word. "You may leave now."
"Yes, Mr. Tremaine." Qiana then turned and left.
Tremain's eyes narrowed as he observed her retreating back intently.
When Qiana first arrived at the palace, he was actually on guard against her.
He was afraid that Qiana would come up with ideas that she shouldn't have.
But there seemed to be none so far.
This woman had abided by the principles and did not cross any boundaries.
After a moment, Tremaine's eyes fell on the cup on the table.
The strong aroma of coffee wafted up into his nose.
She was indeed a very gentle woman.
Yesseca had never poured a cup of coffee for him while he worked late into the night. She would never gently remind him that he was someone that the people of Nashaland would rely on, and thus should pay attention to his health.
She could only make all kinds of strange desserts, which made his stomach churn with the urge to throw up.
But-
Tremaine suddenly shot up from his seat.
He picked up the cup, walked towards the window, and poured out all the coffee that was inside.
But no matter how gentle other women were or how much better they did compared to Yesseca, he only had that one woman in his heart.
Even if he knew that it was impossible between
them now.
However, Yesseca would forever hold a special place in his heart. No one could replace it.
