Yesseca pushed Montez to answer her.
Montez finally told her, "My daddy got it for me!"
Yesseca was surprised.
She hadn't expected it to be Tremaine.
Because she knew that Tremaine was overseas.
He hadn't been back in a long time.
"So it was him," Yesseca whispered.
Seeing how quickly Yesseca's face fell, Montez was worried that Yesseca would refuse to accept the recipe because of his father. He quickly said, "Yesseca, you mustn't throw the recipe away! My father went through so much just to get it!"
"He went to beg for it but the master baker refused to give it to him. My daddy went to see him three times before he got it."
Yesseca held her breath.
Tremaine had to beg for it three times in a row?
A high ranking man like him begged for such a humble recipe?
Yesseca couldn't believe it.
Later, with Montez's help, Yesseca managed to talk to Sheldon about it.
She asked Sheldon the same question.
Sheldon looked at her quietly.
"It's over! She's found out!"
He knew he couldn't trust Montez!
He had been right to doubt him!
He told him not to tell her. But he told her anyway!
Sheldon had no choice but to tell Yesseca the truth. He emphasized, "Mr. Montez wasn't exaggerating. The president did go to see the master baker three times."
Yesseca didn't know how to feel about this.
Even though he didn't need to, Tremaine still went to see the master baker three times. This was very rare for a man like Tremaine to do.
Yesseca then spat out, "He didn't need to do this."
Although she was having a very hard time coming up with a recipe.
She never asked Tremaine to do this.
Especially since Tremaine had to pay such a high price for it!
He went to beg for it three times in a row!
For anyone else, this wouldn't be a big deal, but Tremaine was the president! Having to do something like that was a huge deal!
