She stared at the paper flower in Zorion's hand.
Zorion looked very frightened.
He was worried that Yuliana would take his paper flower and stomp on it again.
He quickly placed his hand behind his back and said, "Dear, if you don't like it, I can fold you another one. Please don't step on it again."
Yuliana took a deep breath.
She asked, "Were you the one who told your greatgrandmother that I stomped on your paper flowers?"
Zorion was shocked.
A while later he replied, "She saw me folding paper flowers and asked me why I was doing that.
I told her that my wife had stomped on the ones I made earlier because she didn't like them. So I'm trying to make nicer ones."
Yuliana felt her eyes stinging.
Hah!
This idiot!
Zorion was a simple minded fool!
But even a fool like him could do something
clever!
Like snitching on her behind her back!
Hah!
Yuliana felt a chill run down her spine!
She glared at Zorion and said, "Zorion, listen up! I will never love you for as long as I live! I toad like you will never earn my love!"
"You fool! You had no right asking for my hand in marriage! I, Yuliana Fernandez, will never, ever fall in love with you!"
"It doesn't matter how many paper flowers you fold for me! I won't even look at them! You fool!"
She then turned around and left.
Zorion looked extremely sad.
The paper flower he had in his hand fell to the ground.
Yuliana went to watch another play.
Riesa could see how upset she was.
After the play was over, Riesa told her that she would treat her to a meal.
She said to her, "Yuliana, I know the restaurants here can't compare to the food the chefs at the Quartley Palace serve, but if you could indulge me just this once."
