My Pretty Sweetheart novel Chapter 2040

There was no news for the entire night. Although my body was dying of exhaustion, the anxiety kept me awake.

As the darkness faded, the sky began to turn bright with sunlight. The rainwater on the leaves began to dwindle away as though they had decided to return empty handed.

Finally, Aaron couldn't sit still anymore. He jolted up from the sofa and walked out with his coat. "I will destroy the Marshall family today."

This was agreed upon before the plan. If there was a mistake, it would be a life- or- death situation.

However, this was the worst option available. Once we had taken action, Nathan and the police would work together on this. By then, even if we were in the right, we would have our hands tied behind our backs. Therefore, we have to be careful and only do this if we absolutely have to.

"Let's wait a little longer," I called after Aaron and looked at the clock, "There's still half an hour left. It rained heavily last night, which might explain the delay." "I can't wait any longer." Aaron looked very upset, but he didn't leave either. After thinking for a while, he decided to let Hendrix make a decision.

"You're the one who came up with this plan. Do you think we should sit here and do nothing?"

He wasn't trying to put the blame on Hendrix, but they were meant to let Hendrix knew that he was going to be held responsible.

He wasn't intentionally acting against him. The lives of the elders were at stake. No one could remain calm with that on the line.

I believed that after the reunion, Hendrix was no longer the cold- blooded man who wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice the interests of the people around him in order to achieve his goal. However, Aaron still saw him as who he was from before. Neither of them were wrong.

I wanted to explain this but was cut off by Hendrix's deep voice from where he was standing, "I'll go with you."
