My Quick-witted Baby novel Chapter 33

Chapter 33

Hearing him yelling, Arabella hid in the corner and stared at him with her watery black eyes in fright.

Kenneth took a breath to suppress his anger and said, "Don't stare at me with such a look. You did something wrong, so I am justified to scold you! I won't pity you."

Arabella pressed her delicate and fair-skinned hands on the wall and said, "I'm sorry, Mr. Lucero. I admit that I refused to answer your call and reply to your message on purpose. Please stop treating me so well. I'm afraid I can't repay your kindness. I don't want to owe you so much."

Kenneth smiled coldly, "Are you drawing a line between us?"

Arabella nodded, "We're from two different worlds. You should go your way, and I'll go mine."

Kenneth had never felt so aggrieved before. He had always been proud of his self-discipline but had lost control of himself repeatedly because of her.

He had lost his head over a sexy photo that she had mistakenly sent. After he had rushed back, her sudden indifference and alienation made him feel so depressed and upset that he was almost out of control again.

Since when had she been able to affect his mood?

Kenneth let out a low and hoarse laugh and mocked mercilessly, "Coward."

Arabella pressed the wall hard and thought he was right. She was indeed a coward who didn't dare to open her heart to him.

Kenneth raised his thick eyebrows and said, "Fine! Since you've drawn a line between us, shouldn't you express your gratitude to me? After all, I saved your life today."

Arabella blinked and said, "I've thanked you, right?"

"Quit playing the fool! Don't you know how other women express their gratitude to men? You have nothing, and the only way to repay me is..."

Arabella quickly reached out to cover his mouth, preventing him from talking nonsense.

When their eyes met, they saw themselves in each other's eyes.
