My Quick-witted Baby novel Chapter 9

Chapter 9

Kenneth was shocked. He quickly took out the medical kit and used a cotton swab stained with alcohol to help Arabella treat the wound, "Remember what happened. This is the consequence of making me repeat my words for the third time."

Arabella was looking at his sharp jawline, "The consequence that Mr. Lucero is referring to is domestic violence?"

Kenneth helped Arabella to put on a band-aid. There was a light smile on his cold and thin lips, "Knowing that I would be abusive, you still dared to come in? You're pretty courageous."

Arabella looked at Kenneth with her beautiful eyes, "Mr. Lucero, others are afraid of you, but I'm not."

Kenneth's slender fingers halted. He looked at Arabella's face, which seemed a little pity because of the band-aid, "Go out. Just leave me alone."

After that, Kenneth helped Arabella to stand up.

Arabella quickly stretched her slender and fair arms to straightforwardly hug Kenneth's strong waist.

Kenneth's tall and sturdy body instantly went stiffened as Arabella hugged him. Arabella's body was soft as though she was boneless. Her face was pressing against his firm chest, like a soft and docile kitty clinging to him.

Again, Kenneth could smell Arabella's pleasant body fragrance. The scent was slowly alluring his mind.

Arabella whispered in his arms, "Mr. Lucero, don't be alone. You can have a companion. Let me accompany you."

Kenneth's bulging blue veins calmed down slowly. The atrocious expression was also disappearing. He raised his arms and hugged Arabella.

Kenneth rubbed his handsome face against Arabella's soft hair. Arabella's body fragrance made Kenneth feel... déjà vu.

Probably because Arabella had just eaten strawberry jam, she was stained with the fruity aroma of the dessert.

Arabella hugged Kenneth quietly for a while. Then, she moved her hands up across his strong waist and caressed his shoulder blades, "If you're still feeling uncomfortable, we can try biting."

Proper emotional catharsis was necessary.

"Biting you? Are you not afraid of pain?"

"Stop dreaming. What I'm saying is..."

Arabella tiptoed and bit on Kenneth's sturdy shoulder.

The way she bit was so fast and fierce that it was impossible for Kenneth to defend. Blood quickly seeped out of Kenneth's white shirt.

She bit him until bleeding.

Almost biting off a piece of his flesh.

Kenneth's muscles turned tense because of the sudden pain. He took a few steps backward while hugging Arabella in his arms. Arabella's lower leg tripped on the sofa edges, causing them to fall on the soft couch.

"Mrs. Lucero, are you retaliating?" Kenneth was pressing Arabella with his body. The immense pain had helped him slowly relieve his emotions and restored some clarity in his mind.

Arabella raised her delicately arched eyebrow, "Just now, you pushed me. Now, I bite you. It's fair."

Arabella wanted to get up, but Kenneth pressed her shoulders and pushed her back to the sofa.

Their current posture was somewhat ambiguous.

Arabella looked into Kenneth's eyes. There seemed to be flames jumping at the bottom of his eyes. He was staring at her like his delicious prey.

"Mr. Lucero, what are you doing?"

"You smell nice. You haven't told me what perfume you're using since last time?"

Arabella smiled and joked, "Mr. Lucero, I've told you that I'm not using perfume. Your kept asking me about this, so I think that your are trying to hit on me. Perhaps... you're planning to develop an intimate relationship with me?"

Kenneth always knew that Arabella's eyes were beautiful. Especially now, when arguing with him, her eyes looked energetic and gorgeous. Kenneth closed his eyes and gently dropped a kiss by pressing his thin lips onto the band-aid on her forehead, "Does it hurt? I'm sorry for what happened earlier. I'm sorry..."

For having such a domineering man saying "I'm sorry" to her with his low and hoarse voice, Arabella felt numb.
