My Substitute CEO Bride (Nash Calicraft) novel Chapter 1606

The training ground fell silent, so quiet that the sound of blood dripping onto the ground was distinctly audible. The tip of Erwin's sword was just two centimeters from Nash's back but could not advance any further.

Erwin looked down at the spearhead that had pierced his chest, his crimson eyes narrowing sharply. One more step and the spear in Nash's hand would impale his heart. To be precise, it was as if Erwin had pushed his heart toward the terrifying spear that was more dreadful than the Demon Spirit Blade.

Shock, confusion, fear—various complex emotions flooded Erwin. Who was this person? Why was he so powerful? When Erwin was in his berserk state, his strength was comparable to the peak of the Profound Reality Realm. Even the sect elders and sect master would avoid his onslaught. How could this young man who was seemingly in his early 20s defeat him?

"I told you, you’re too slow," Nash said calmly, his voice devoid of emotion. He then twisted the spear handle violently.

Erwin's eyes widened in pain and disbelief. The power and precision with which Nash handled the spear were far beyond anything he had encountered.

"You dare bully my woman?!” Nash seethed. He was already showing mercy by holding back.

"Ugh... Ah!” Erwin grimaced in pain, veins bulging on his forehead as he let out a scream akin to a pig getting slaughtered.

Suddenly, a cold, commanding voice echoed through the air. “Stop!”

Nash raised an eyebrow and turned to see a woman dressed in a tight white bodysuit descending from the sky. She appeared to be in her early 20s and was holding a black paper umbrella in her hand.

Upon reaching the training ground, the woman opened the umbrella, and pink petals began to fall from within. It created a picturesque scene.

She touched down gracefully, looking very much like a divine being.

"Senior!" the disciples of the Ink Veil Sect respectfully greeted her.

Melody was no exception. She lowered her head respectfully in a deferential manner.

The woman was Gwendolyn, the true pride of the Ink Veil Sect. She was the granddaughter of the sect master and had reached the peak of the Profound Reality Realm at the age of 30.

Although the sect master was grooming Melody as the next successor, Gwendolyn harbored no resentment. On the contrary, she treated Melody like a sister.
