Umbrie's pov.
I held onto the door knob, carefully eased it before going into the house. I kicked my shoes off my legs before proceeding towards the living room.
"Umbrie! You're home." Mom said excitedly while holding a couple of plates in her hands. I nodded my head slowly and walked over taking the plates from her.
"Yes, you're so loud." I chuckled moving with her to the dining table.
"How was your talk with Alpha Damien?" Dad asked immediately i sat next to Sky.
I smiled. "It was pretty good. No problem at all."
Jared was also at the table and he had a good face. And by good, I mean he looked happy and easygoing.
He should really adopt this look.
The dinner was heated as well started eating the sumptuous meal mom prepared. It was lively, hell, Jared even laughed the loudest. Sky kept making jokes about when he comes of age and turns into his own wolf.
Dad also reminded Jared and I about one time we had a full moon, it was chaotic as hell.
The pack house was in total chaos as all the wolves tried to get free from the chains and run in the wild.
Well, my father always told us that nothing good can come out of a werewolf running off during full moon. We are completely possessed by the moon's presence and the desire to unleash themselves consumes us like water breaking into land.
Mom didn't miss to tell us that the monthly teen wolf training was in two days. Yup..once in a month, the pack leaders organize a training activity for us. We get to shift into our wolves and run through the forest and try other activities that'd help us catch scents, sharpen our claws, be in good shape, catch sounds better and enhance our night vision.
The best gift we werewolves in Ice Valley have is Alpha Damien. Apart from him being hot, charming and brave, He's a very good leader and does all he could to make things better. Not just for us, but for humans too.
He's a doctor. A very skilled doctor and I really look up to him.
After eating with my family, I headed upstairs before anyone. I could catch a scent coming from my bedroom. Peppermint....
I know he's here and somehow, I'm happy to see him. Things aren't turning out like I thought it would. Even my ultimate revenge is wrecking me emotionally.
And then I thought it would be easy.
Nothing is.
To be honest.
I pushed through the door shutting it immediately. He was leaning against my desk.
He had no bandage and there were signs of cuts from Jared's beating.
That scene still makes me feel uneasy.
"Hi, Keiran. It's so nice for you to crawl in through my window." I said wearing a smirk.
I was still standing at the door side.
"I really wanted to go somewhere else. My mom's been popping into my bedroom every second to check my face and try to 'fix' it." He replied and I gulped.
"I could say sorry about what Jared did but..." I paused and shrugged my hands.
He bought out something from his pocket and dropped it on my desk. My phone.
Hmph! I actually survived without it for almost a day.
"What did Damien say?" Keiran asked and I frowned.
"Have some respect for our leader." I huffed and he made a throaty chuckle.
"He's my cousin, I can't fake how I feel about him." He stated. Hmph. Jerk.
"It's none of your business until you talk to him." I replied with a smirk. "Then we can both say what we shared with him."
"Makes sense."
His phone started ringing and my lips parted as he brought it out and stared at the screen. This is like a deja vu. When we were at the garden and he ditched me.
"Hillary, that punk." He muttered and switched off the phone.
