Exhausted, he eventually gave up, lay down on the living room floor, and fell asleep.

Meanwhile, Janina went back to the children's room and began meticulously checking all their clothes and belongings.

When Fairchild woke up, he was greeted by the fragrant aroma of food on the table. He scrambled up from the floor, washed his hands in the restroom, and quickly sat down at the table, ready to eat.

Just then, West, Natalie, and Wendy arrived home.

Janina had already explained the situation in their family group chat, so everyone tacitly agreed to treat Fairchild as a normal guest. No one mentioned a word about Liam and Joy being sick.

Janina got out of bed, opened her door, and peeked into the living room. It was pitch black downstairs. Land slept in a room on the first floor, and no light was coming from under her door. She must have been asleep.
