After I Stopped Loving Him novel Chapter 677

The memory of Jackson cheating with his secretary, Deborah, was still fresh in Natalie’s mind. That was exactly why she kept her guard up around Malvina. The last thing she wanted was for Malvina to end up in Jordan’s bed.

“You haven’t been coming into the office much lately, so when I saw you today, I got a little surprised. I probably said something out of line. Please don’t take it to heart,” Malvina said with a forced smile, trying to play it off.

“Are you looking for Jordan? He has a guest in his office right now, so it might not be the best time. Do you want to wait in the lounge for a bit?” Malvina suggested, almost too politely.

Natalie paused and eyed her. “Is Jordan meeting with a client?”

“No, not a client.”

“Is it a meeting with senior management then?” Natalie pressed.

“No, it’s not that either.”

“Then what kind of guest is so important that even I have to wait outside?” Natalie’s patience was already wearing thin. Without another word, she brushed past Malvina and headed straight for the Vice President’s office.

As far as Natalie was concerned, unless Jordan was talking business or with a client, she could walk in whenever she wanted.

Malvina hurried after her. “But Jordan specifically told me not to let anyone in without his permission.”

“Does anyone include me? Did he actually say I’m not allowed in?” Natalie shot back.

Malvina had nothing to say to that.

Jordan hadn’t even had a chance to say anything when someone stormed in and, without warning, the room echoed with the sound of a sharp slap.

Mandy let out a cry of shock.

The thermos flew from her hands, hitting the floor with a loud clatter. Soup splashed everywhere, even landing on Jordan’s clothes.

“Who do you think you are? How dare you hit me!” Mandy shouted, holding her cheek. She glared at Natalie, then looked to Jordan for support. “Jordan, who is this woman? She just barged in and slapped me! Aren’t you going to do something? That really hurt!”

But Natalie’s anger only flared hotter. She raised her hand and slapped Mandy again.
