After I Stopped Loving Him novel Chapter 678

Mandy only got slapped the first time because she wasn’t expecting it. Now she was ready. No way was she going to let Natalie hit her again.

She moved fast, her hand connecting with Natalie’s cheek before Natalie could react. But Natalie’s slap landed at the same time, leaving both of them stinging.

Natalie lost it. “You bitch. I catch you coming on to my husband and you have the nerve to hit me?”

She tossed her bag aside and lunged at Mandy. The two of them started fighting, hair-pulling and yelling.

“Babe, stop, just stop,” Jordan called out, trying to break them apart.

He reached for Natalie, but in that split second, Mandy managed to slap her again. Furious, Natalie shoved Jordan out of the way and dove back into the fight.

Mandy was younger, but she was no match for Natalie’s rage. Natalie scratched and pulled at her, leaving Mandy looking completely wrecked.

“That’s enough! Stop it. This is all just a misunderstanding,” Jordan shouted, stepping between them again. This time, instead of grabbing Natalie, he pulled Mandy away. It was the only way to stop things from getting worse for Mandy.

“Get out,” he said sharply.

Dragging Mandy to the door, he yanked it open and pushed her out. She stumbled and fell right outside the office.

“Malvina, get her out of here. And don’t let her back in unless I say so.”

“Jordan, how could you do this to me? After everything I’ve done for you, after everything I did for The Lane Group. You promised you’d love me, that you’d always take care of me. Now you’re cheating on me? How could you? When your dad cheated, you were furious. You said he betrayed Cynthia. Now you’re just like him. How could you do this to me?”

Jordan led her over to the couch and sat her down, grabbing a tissue and gently wiping her tears.

“Babe, I would never betray you,” he said softly. “I keep telling you, it’s all just a misunderstanding.”

“I never cheated. We grew up together. You’re the only one I care about. I promised I’d only ever love you, and I meant it. No one else even comes close.”

“I know how much my dad’s affair hurt me and Cynthia. I’d never put you through that. Not ever.”
