Yvonne’s chest rose and fell sharply with anger.
If she could, she would have reached through the phone and demanded to know what exactly Aurora was thinking.
Why couldn’t they just work together again?
Wasn’t it clearly a win-win?
But Aurora found her words almost laughable and shot back without hesitation.
“You really don’t know why I won’t work with you?”
“I don’t understand what you mean.”
Yvonne sounded genuinely confused.
She had laid out such a good opportunity right in front of Aurora.
In her mind, anyone with half a brain would agree immediately.
If she had heard someone offer her this, she would have accepted on the spot.
She never expected Aurora to be so ungrateful.
Yvonne truly didn’t understand what Aurora was thinking.
Aurora said, “You already have a history of causing trouble. How am I supposed to work with you?
“I already told you—that time was an accident. I said I would make up for it afterward, didn’t I?”
Yvonne drew a deep breath, irritation creeping into her voice.
“What do you want me to do for you to finally believe me and agree to work with me again?”
“No matter what you do, I won’t trust you.”
Aurora’s tone was firm.
