The sweet and sour ribs looked particularly tempting.
The savory aroma was irresistible, and for the first time in a long while, Natalie felt a genuine pang of hunger. Terence, understanding her completely, immediately handed her a fork and chopsticks.
“Try it. How is it?”
Natalie happily took the utensils and placed a piece in her mouth.
The first bite was a revelation of flavor, melting perfectly as she savored it.
“Mmm, it’s delicious!”
Seeing Natalie’s eyes widen slightly in a look of pure delight, Terence finally let out the breath he’d been holding.
He was glad she liked it.
Natalie said excitedly to Terence, “This is so good! I swear, this is the best sweet and sour ribs I’ve ever had. How is it so delicious? Have you taken classes?”
Terence replied, “I just followed a tutorial online.”
“You can cook this well just by watching an online tutorial? How are you so talented at everything you do? You’re amazing.”
Natalie’s own cooking was decent, but it had taken her a lot of effort and many failed attempts to get there. Her skills had been built up slowly over time.
Suddenly, she realized that for some people, certain things just came effortlessly.
Lucas and Liana also took a bite.
Lucas exclaimed, “Wow, Dad, this is so good!”
Liana also gave Terence a thumbs-up.
“Let’s eat,” Terence said.
“Okay.”
The family of four sat around the dining table, eating. Lucas and Liana kept putting food on Natalie’s plate.
“Natalie, you should eat more.”
