Darren said, “I can’t explain exactly what happened or how it all went down, but I’m sure there’s something fishy about this whole thing.”
“You’re so sure,” Marcus pressed. “And you were just so certain that Angela wouldn’t do something like this. Right now, everyone is saying she seduced Terence and he couldn’t resist. Why do you trust her so much? Do you know her that well?”
“I’ve interacted with her. She’s definitely not that kind of person. There has to be more to the story.”
Just then, a maid announced, “Mr. Lockwood is here.”
“Throw him out!” Marcus ordered.
He didn’t want Terence bothering Natalie and told the security to get rid of him, but Natalie spoke up. “Let him in.”
“Sis, are you sure you want to let him in?”
Natalie nodded. “Let him come in.”
When Terence entered, he saw Darren was also there, a bandage on his forehead. Was he here to play the victim for Natalie? Trying to take advantage of the situation?
“Natalie, I’m so sorry. I think I was set up. I honestly never thought Angela would do that to me. I always thought she was a straightforward person.”
Terence’s words were enough to set Marcus off.
“You two are a real piece of work. Both of you come here telling my sister that Angela isn’t that kind of person. So, Angela’s not at fault, and you’re not at fault? Then I guess it’s my sister’s fault! That’s right, my sister shouldn’t have chosen either of you! Now both of you, get out!”
