Darren froze. He never imagined Angela would be carrying his child. Could it have been from that one night?
At that moment, Angela didn’t know how to face Darren. She also hadn’t expected to get pregnant from that one night.
But after hearing Darren say that Natalie was the only one he would ever love, she didn’t want to use the baby to trap him.
“I am pregnant, but the baby isn’t yours. You don’t have to feel burdened, and you certainly don’t have to risk your life to save me and the child.”
Marie cooed, “Oh, how touching. You’re so devoted to him you’d give up your own life. Since you both have feelings for each other, why pretend otherwise?”
Darren shielded Angela, determined to keep Marie from harming her.
“Marie, if you have a problem, take it out on me. Let Angela go.”
“Your love story is so moving. That’s why I’ve decided to grant you your wish and send all three of you straight to hell together.”
As Marie said this, she prepared to fire. Just then, a gunshot rang out. Darren instinctively protected Angela, but a second later, he realized the bullet hadn't hit him. He turned to see Marie had been shot.
The gun fell from Marie's hand, which was now gushing blood. But she didn't give up and scrambled to grab the weapon again.
Another shot rang out, hitting her in the leg. She collapsed to the ground, screaming in agony.
Only then did everyone realize the shooter was Terence.
Marie’s heart skipped a beat.
“Terence, how could it be you?”
Terence said coldly, “It's time for you to die, Marie.”
