Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 1144

In that time, she had only seen Titus once, and the visit lasted less than five minutes.

"He did briefly mention that a girl had moved into his place."

"When I tried to ask for details, he just said he'd tell me when the time was right. And that was the end of it."

Titus had his own villa and usually only stopped by for a few minutes during the holidays.

Maeve knew her brother was a master of understatement. How could he just casually drop a bomb like that and walk away?

Pulling her mother back down, Maeve snuggled close and began listing all of her brother's faults.

Before long, her eyelids grew heavy, and she drifted into a deep sleep.

Serenity gazed down at her daughter's peaceful, sleeping face, her eyes filled with boundless love.

In the blink of an eye, her little girl was about to become a mother herself. Time really did fly.

Pressing a gentle kiss to Maeve's forehead, Serenity reached to pull the blanket up, only for the bedroom door to swing open.

Julian Reed strode in, bringing the crisp night air with him.

Seeing Maeve sleeping soundly in his wife's arms, his brows instantly drew together in a frown.

He opened his mouth to speak, but Serenity quickly shushed him. "She just fell asleep. Keep your voice down."

Julian walked over in total silence. Ignoring his wife's fierce glare, he scooped Maeve up by the waist and carried her straight out the door.

Andres, who had been standing guard in the hallway, saw Julian emerge and quickly stepped forward to catch his wife.

"Keep an eye on your wife. Don't let her disturb mine," Julian ordered.

Andres fought back a smile and nodded. "Understood, Julian. I'll take her to her room right now."

Andres thought to himself: *It's not that I wouldn't let you sleep with your mom, honey. Your dad is just far too ruthless to share his territory.*

When Maeve finally opened her eyes again, she realized the person lying next to her was Andres.

Stretching languidly, she asked in annoyance, "Did my dad kick me out?"

Andres gently pinched her nose. "You're fully aware of how much your father resents sharing his wife, aren't you?"
