Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 364

They all sighed, silently mourning the same truth:

The good ones—men and women—always belonged to someone else.

On the way to the party, Andres played Maeve an audio recording Hans had captured the night before.

When it ended, Maeve's brow lifted slightly.

"So you think Natalia has another identity?"

Andres nodded. "Hans is already digging."

Maeve replayed it and listened again.

When Natalia said, "To me, he's an enemy," Maeve paused the recording.

Andres studied her face. "Something wrong?"

"She's lying," Maeve said calmly. "When she says she hates you, there's no hatred in her voice."

Maeve turned to him. "Think carefully. Are you sure you don't know Natalia?"

Andres looked personally offended. "I don't. I really don't."

His memory was decent. He wasn't the kind of man who forgot faces.

Maeve's tone remained maddeningly certain. "Natalia likes you."

Andres nearly got chills. "That conclusion—I can't accept."

Maeve's eyes brightened, suddenly entertained. "Whitty, what if we play along and stage a little scene?"

"Anya Morales told her to wreck our relationship, didn't she? Why not let her think she's succeeding—for once?"

Andres's face screamed resistance. "Maeve, do I really have to stomach these people for the sake of a performance?"

The idea of pretending to have issues with Maeve because of a woman like Natalia made him feel physically ill.

Maeve smiled, radiant and entirely unbothered. "It's acting. You just have to cooperate."
