Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 448

Andres met his gaze with a half-smile.

Two equally outstanding men were using their own methods to win this silent war.

Seeing the tension thickening between them, Maeve finally stepped in to mediate.

"Whitty, Mr. Grover and I have business to discuss. You head back first. I'll text you when I'm done."

Maeve could tell there was history between the White and Grover families.

Whatever it was, she had no interest in knowing, nor did she care to find out.

Since Maeve had spoken, Andres naturally gave her the respect she asked for.

Right in front of Simon, he pressed a kiss to her forehead, his eyes overflowing with deep, undeniable affection.

"Alright. Have a good meeting. Call me if you need anything."

Watching Andres's car speed away, Simon leaned in close to Maeve's ear, his movements intentionally suggestive.

"Does Miss Vance really not trust me? You bring an irrelevant person along just to grab coffee?"

Simon's sudden proximity triggered a flash of disgust in Maeve.

She pushed him back to arm's length.

"I'm not used to people getting in my personal space."

"And second, he's not an irrelevant person. He's my man."

She articulated the words "my man" perfectly clearly.

A dark glint flashed in Simon's eyes.

Though it vanished just as quickly.

He took a small step back, his smile still carrying a hint of a wicked edge.

"My apologies. I thought you would keep our meeting a secret from certain people."

Maeve looked at him like he was an idiot.

"I live my life out in the open. Why would I hide anything?"

"Besides, we're meeting to discuss business."

"If it were me, I definitely wouldn't want the woman I care about having too much contact with another man."

As they spoke, they entered the restaurant.

Simon was clearly a regular.

The general manager came over to greet him personally and respectfully escorted them into a private dining room.

After ordering, Simon continued his lecture.

"Don't think I'm just being alarmist. Once the seed of doubt is planted, it quickly takes root."

Maeve held up a hand, cutting him off.

"First of all, your existence will not have the slightest impact on my relationship with Whitty."

"Second, even if all the nonsense you just spouted came true, what does it have to do with you?"

"I have one rule in life: live in the moment and focus on what's in front of me."

"Mr. Grover, if you keep whining about hypothetical scenarios, this conversation is over."
