Divorce Failed My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 898

"What did you find out about The Quiet Garden?"

Ever since Andres discovered that Maeve was hiding a man named Charlie Wilson there, he couldn't shake the obsessive need to investigate him.

Murray, who had already been fast asleep, was still completely groggy from being yanked out of bed by his boss.

"Boss, aside from Daisy and her father, I haven't found a single suspicious person at The Quiet Garden."

Andres stared at him, his gaze sharp and contemplative. "So you're implying Maeve lied to my face?"

Murray frantically backpedaled. "Given Miss Vance's personality, she would never bother lying. If someone's there, they're there. If they aren't, they aren't. Who would joke about something like that? Especially since she's legally married to you now. Bragging about hiding a full-grown man in another house would just be asking for a death wish. She definitely wouldn't invent a lie like that."

After listening to Murray ramble, Andres was right back where he started: Maeve was absolutely hiding a man at The Quiet Garden.

"Then tell me, where exactly is she hiding him?"

Murray was practically dead on his feet, his brain refusing to process the interrogation. "I honestly have no idea."

Andres fought the overwhelming urge to kick his clueless assistant out the door. "If you don't know anything, why the hell did I call you here?"

Murray looked utterly lost. "I was wondering the exact same thing, Boss."

He glanced at the wall clock. It was twenty past midnight. They were well into the ungodly hours of the morning. He let out a jaw-cracking yawn.

"Boss, why aren't you resting in the master bedroom at this hour?"

This time, Murray didn't need to be told twice. He practically scrambled out the door.

Left alone, Andres felt a deep wave of exhaustion over his current predicament. And the root of all this misery was Nancy Grover.

She lingered in the shadows like a toxic ghost, stirring up endless trouble. It was infuriating. He severely regretted ever giving her the time of day just because of his pet snake, Lucifer. They had never even dated, yet people continually assumed she was his ultimate 'One That Got Away.'

To hell with the one that got away.

The mere phrase made his stomach turn. Pulling out his spare phone, he checked the Orca Group's official Twitter account. His statement had already racked up over a hundred thousand comments. He scrolled down, wondering if the top comment was left by bots hired by Nancy. A user named 'WorldlyPetal' had written:

*In my heart, the head of the White family and Miss Grover are the ultimate endgame!*
