Divorce me I'm done serving you (Ayla) novel Chapter 833

Bria tapped her fork against her plate, playing dumb. "What are you all staring at? Dig in."

Andrew was floored. "Holy crap, you two..." His eyes bounced back and forth between them, but he was still too stunned to find the words. He knew exactly what kind of person Bria was, and the fact that she'd actually fallen for Kaleb of all people was insane.

Andrew had genuinely thought Bria was just messing around, falling for someone one minute and moving on to the next, but now she was actually serious about it, and they were officially together?

Andrew said, "How long have you guys been together?"

Bria said, "Since I came back."

"And you kept it from us this whole time? That's savage!" Andrew griped. As her best friend, he knew he was supposed to be cheering her on, but Bria's track record was honestly pretty rough, and he didn't have high hopes that they'd last. He genuinely suspected they'd be calling it quits in a couple of months.

Andrew glanced at Kaleb. It was typical for Bria to do something like this, and dating someone for fun when she was bored was nothing new. What was actually shocking was Kaleb. Kaleb had actually forgiven Bria and gotten together with her? Did this guy lose his mind? Wasn't he afraid of getting screwed over by Bria?

Andrew had to hand it to Kaleb for the sheer guts. If he himself were dating someone, he'd never in a million years go for a personality like Bria's.

Just on that point alone, Andrew couldn't help but see Kaleb in a new light. He really was the guy who'd gone toe-to-toe with Troy.

Renee had been watching Bria's transformation play out, and the two of them being together didn't surprise her one bit.

Besides, Kaleb was Ayla's brother, and Renee adored Ayla, so she had a soft spot for Kaleb too.

Now that they were a couple, her one and only thought was that Kaleb had better not do Bria wrong. On that, she and Andrew were on completely different pages.

"I'm so happy for you guys," Renee said from the heart. How long they lasted didn't really matter. What mattered was that they were happy right now.

Finally, it was Emmett's turn. The look on his face went through every emotion possible—it was more tangled than a Rubik's Cube. He looked at Kaleb, then at Bria, then at Andrew and Renee, who seemed just as confused as he was. Then he put his face to his glass and drank the whole thing in one gulp.

He'd been worried his buddy would live out his days solo, but now he was almost worried that Kaleb actually had a girlfriend. Besides, that was just one tiny piece of why his head was spinning.

The bigger thing was, Emmett had personally witnessed all the drama between Kaleb and Bria, and he'd assumed those two were headed for lifelong-enemies status. Instead, here they were, lovey-dovey and dating, with no warning. Emmett was floored.

Was this what fate looked like?

The two people who had no business ever being together somehow actually ended up together?

So where the hell is his own girlfriend then? As the only lifelong single guy at the table, Emmett was starting to feel a small twinge of panic.
