Sometimes it was from Marcus, and other times it was from one of his men who had tailed Bella and would send a report complete with photos and descriptions.

The most critical information would be highlighted at the top of the message. Lillian only read the highlights. If there was a significant development, she would read the full report; otherwise, she wouldn't bother. She simply wasn't that interested.

Bella had no idea that Lillian was already aware of all her actions.

The next morning, before heading to the office at ten, Lillian did her exercises with Mr. Peregrine. Afterward, they discussed his specific diagnosis for her mother and grandmother from the previous day.

Lillian learned that her grandmother had a high chance of waking up. Although it would take some time, at least she would regain consciousness. Her mother, however, was a different story. A full recovery was a long shot.

Lillian was conflicted, unsure of what to choose. Although her mother's mental state was unchanged, she seemed to be enjoying her current life. If her condition worsened, it would be a huge problem—something Lillian absolutely did not want to see.
