"No, what are you talking about? We're tourists! We aren't peasants. Our daughter is incredibly successful and works for a major CEO!
"We don't need money, and we aren't doing manual labor! Ms. Mercer promised us an allowance of ten thousand dollars a month!
"We have money."
They patted their pockets, where the initial tens of thousands in allowance still sat completely untouched.
Mrs. Bennett also sensed something was terribly wrong. They had money now; why on earth would they be forced into hard labor?
They were supposed to be on a luxury world tour!
Fueled by Mrs. Bennett's outrage, the rest of the family immediately erupted into a chaotic, screaming protest.
The translator rolled his eyes, utterly disgusted.
"Who do you think you are? Ten thousand a month for each of you?
"How much do you think your daughter actually makes? Count how many of you are standing here.
"That would be hundreds of thousands a month. Millions of dollars a year. Even if your daughter is highly capable, do you really think she has that kind of power?
"Would she have anything left to survive on?
"You're a bunch of ungrateful leeches, from the oldest to the youngest. Every single one of you is scum.
"I really should have sold you to actual traffickers so you could taste true suffering. You think you're too good for an illegal labor camp?"
"What illegal labor? We're on vacation!"
"Still dreaming about a vacation, huh? You offended people you never should have crossed, and now you've been shipped overseas to work in the black mines.
"You are never going back. Not for the rest of your lives!
"There is no vacation. There is no allowance. You work, you get to live. You don't work, you get absolutely nothing!"
The harsh reality finally crashed down on the crowd.
