Family on Their Knees Heart Turned to Ice novel Chapter 792

It was a name Bella had spent years trying to erase from her memory, a name she never wanted to think of again. But this crisis left her with no other choice.

Apart from Sebastian's black card, she was entirely out of funds. Debbie wasn't going to pay her back anytime soon, and the loan sharks wouldn't show her any mercy. They would use whatever brutal tactics necessary to get their money.

She was about to marry Sebastian. Once she officially joined the Blake family, she would have endless wealth. She had to ensure this loan shark debt didn't blow up in her face before then. She had to secure her marriage and claim her rightful share. Those debts wouldn't mean a thing once she was a billionaire's wife. But she had to survive this hurdle first.

That day, Bella skipped work. She spent an hour carefully preparing herself, then drove for an hour before ditching her car and taking a cab the rest of the way. After driving in circles for another hour to ensure she wasn't followed, she finally arrived at a secluded estate on the outskirts of Northwyn. She stepped out and knocked on a small, discreet door in a deserted corner of the backyard.

She knocked for a long time. About fifteen minutes later, the door finally creaked open. A frail, elderly man stared at her, studying her face for a long time before finally recognizing her.

"It's you..."

"I need to see the master," Bella said flatly. "I need his help."

"You haven't been here in years, Miss Ward. He might not want to see you. Besides, you know his rules. You're... almost thirty now, aren't you?"

Bella's expression instantly darkened. Almost thirty. In the real world, it was perfectly normal for a successful career woman to be unmarried at thirty. But in this twisted place, her age made things incredibly awkward.

Bella clenched her jaw. "Just go tell him I'm here."

Ever since she returned from studying abroad, joined the Blake Group, and proved herself as a corporate elite, she had left her old life behind. She had grown accustomed to luxury and respect. She hadn't suffered this kind of degradation in years. The shame was suffocating, but she had to swallow it down.

She stood there, trembling, as someone approached with a high-pressure hose and sprayed her down. The sheer force of the freezing water left her dizzy, the icy blast chilling her to the bone despite the summer heat.

"Take it off," the butler ordered flatly. "Don't break the rules, Miss Ward."

Bella glanced around. Even though she couldn't see anyone in the shadows, she knew dozens of eyes were watching her. She looked up at the second-floor windows. She couldn't see him, but she knew the master was up there, staring down at her from behind the glass.
