With Sebastian throwing his power and resources behind the wedding, it was going to be infinitely more spectacular than anything she could have orchestrated alone. Bella knew exactly what this meant.
The entire company was under the impression that Sebastian had fiercely defended her against the Board's demands for a pre-nup. No wonder she was treated like royalty the moment she stepped off the elevator. Everyone had witnessed just how deeply Sebastian supposedly loved her; naturally, no one dared to show her anything but absolute respect.
A smug smile played on Bella's lips as she strutted out of his office, her posture impeccably straight. From this moment on, her life was permanently elevated. The title of Mrs. Blake was the ultimate crown.
Hannah Quinn immediately rushed over to her desk. "Bella, you're finally back!"
"Did you run into any issues with the project while I was gone?" Bella asked casually.
"Are you kidding? Mr. Blake handled everything personally. He covered all your duties while you were sick. And yesterday, the entire Board showed up to hash out the wedding details. When they walked out of the conference room, they were practically patting him on the back, telling him to make sure the ceremony is the biggest event of the year."
Bella felt a pang of regret for staying in bed an extra day. She would have loved to hear those executives bowing to Sebastian's demands in person.
What she failed to realize was that the Board was only pushing for a lavish wedding because they knew she had signed away every right to the Blake empire. Since their financial interests were securely locked away, they didn't care how much was spent on flowers and champagne. A massive, flashy wedding was great PR for the company, and they were thrilled to support it.
